Secrets Of Successfully Empowered People

Seth Godin really nailed it when he discussed in one of his posts…”The Hierarchy Of Success”. He says it falls into the follow order:

*1.] Attitude

*2.] Approach

*3.] Goals

*4.] Tactics

*5.] Execution

His take…the most important aspect is “Attitude”. He further says to look inside yourself and ask some tough questions…why are you doing this?  How do you deal with failure?  When will you quit?  How do you treat competitors?  What personality are you looking for in the people you hire?

He then goes on to discuss the second most important aspect and that is your “Approach”. I call these the “Two – A’s” of Success. How do you look at your project?  Do you read a lot of books…do you ask questions?  When was the last time you admitted an error and made a dramatic course correction.  Without the proper “Attitude and Approach”, you cannot set the proper “Goals”. If you cannot set the proper “Goals”, then your “Strategy” will be incorrect…which leads to improper “Tactics”. All of this will result in bad “Execution” and bad results.
