BizPack Networks, a “Business-to-Business” networking group was founded in 2002 by JR Jaramillo of Las Vegas, NV. Its main purpose was to create an environment where business professionals could meet in a structured but friendly manner to help promote each others businesses.

An experienced and successful marketing professional, JR had a vision to create a networking group that would become a powerful extended sales force for its members through building strong, lasting quality relationships…of which he has been highly successful! His wife, Kathlyn, has a very successful sister organization for women only…called “Defining Women”. Together, they have developed powerful marketing organizations in the Las Vegas area for business professionals.

I joined BizPack Networks in March of 2009. A friend of mine in the insurance business introduced me to the concept. Immediately, I informed her that I was not interested, as I had previously been introduced to two other similar groups, but was turned off by the quality of the members and the autocratic way the organizations were run. She convinced me (pretty good salesperson) to go to a meeting. I did and was immediately impressed by a few things…

1.] The level of professionalism.
2.] The friendliness of the group members.
3.] The positive way in which rules and order were handled.
4.] I was given referrals without being a member!

I left there impressed. A couple days later, I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with JR discussing his philosophy and goals. I was so impressed, I immediately asked to join and we finalized the membership.

BizPack has been such a positive experience for me…so much so that I took another chapter spot in another profession…real estate (my first was in loan modification). The financial investment has quickly paid for itself and I have been opened up to another great avenue of marketing my business.

The one thing that I have learned over the years and was clearly evident here…never close yourself off to an opportunity. Keep your mind open and ready to close the gap…always “push through”. This attitude will truly keep you empowered!
