Courage Under Fire…An Empowering Part of Emotional Health

Isn’t it true, that when we talk about an empowering lifestyle that we so often focus only on our physical  & mental health…two obviously important elements.  But there is one part of an empowering lifestyle that we seem to be either uncomfortable discussing, or are unclear as to its importance…with respect to our emotional health…that is “courage under fire”.  I call it the “guts” to push throughno matter what.  Whether it is a business start-up, that first vocal solo, or asking that special person out on a first date, you got to have “guts”.  I see so many people standing on the sidelines, because they have fear of what someone else might think, or that they might fail.  Failure only happens when you do not try.

If Tina Frundt did not have “courage under fire”, she could not help so many young girls get away from the “sex slave” trade.  She is a true Angel of the Night and an American Hero.  Watch this video and experience true “courage under fire”.

Nelson Mandela said, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.  Your playing small does not serve the world.  There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.  We were all meant to shine, as children do.  It is not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.  And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others.”  what he said and did was another fantastic example of “courage under fire”.  do you have it? Is your lifestyle healthy and empowered from this liberation?  Make it happen…push through.
