One of my “Mompreneurial” friends recently disclosed to me her secret to developing a six-figure income…it began with organizing her life.

How many of us take the time to organize our life on a daily basis?  How many of us prepare our “next day plan” before we go to bed at night?  How many of us use the tools on our computer to organize and structure our goals and tasks?

If you are reading this and thinking to yourself…”I do all this”, then great…you do not need to read any further because this is not for you.  If you are reading this and realize that you do not organize your daily life, or you only partially organize your life…then stick with me.

Being organized is all part of being efficient.  An important aspect of being an empowered entrepreneur is being engaged in an organized way.  Successful entrepreneurs are organized, thorough and very efficient with their time.  They understand the importance of laser-focusing their time on the task at hand.

Have you taken stock of your environment, recently?  Is your office or work area clean, neat and devoid of clutter?  What about your home and garage?  Can you find what you need within 5 minutes of searching for it?  When your work environment is clean and neat, it is a simple process to keep your schedule organized.

Take 15 minutes at night and plan your schedule for the next day.  Prioritize your most important task first.  Be sure to have your appointment times blocked out with additional time left to travel from one location to another.  As you complete a task or an appointment, check it off your list.  If you have a long list of tasks, consider grouping them into multiple groups according to importance.

When my friend described what she was doing…and it was all of these, I was so impressed with what she was doing that it became a reality check for me as well.   I went back to my office and re-directed my efforts at organization.  When I completed my renewal, I realized that I felt significantly less stressed.  I felt empowered and self-appreciated.

I challenge each of you to take stock in your environment.  Organize it…organize your time.  Be completely accountable and authentic with yourself.  When you do this, you will make great strides toward success in your life.  You will become unstoppable!
