Green Smoothies the Vitamix Way

We began drinking “Green Smoothies” almost 2 months ago.  We had purchased a nice KitchenAid blender in early September.  We were quite happy with its overall performance and the price was right.  Sounds like a “win-win”, eh?  We re-learned a valuable lesson that I had learned many years ago…”you get what you pay for”.

One morning we were blending everything up and suddenly the blender began to grind and shake at the same time.  Not a good sound.  I quickly discovered that the blender had broken at the base of the glass jar in the gear shaft area…game over and a mess to boot.

We went out and purchased a Vitamix blender.  We came home and made our first smoothie.  Wow, what a difference.  The smoothie was decidedly much more creamy and smooth.  If you are not familiar with the Vitamix brand, let me tell you that they are the Cadillac and the Jeep of blenders.  They are powerful, sleek and never quit.  I know many individuals who have had Vitamix blenders for years without any problems.

I would encourage you to take a proactive role in your health and the health of your family.  Get a Vitamix blender today!  Get your organic greens!  Get your fruit and get on the “Green Smoothie” train!  Don’t hesitate to contact me today for some great recipes that will have your kids as well as the rest of your family wanting their “Green Smoothies” each and every day.  Empower your health.  Empower your life with “Green Smoothies” and Vitamix today.

That was interesting. I had heard of the Vitamix brand but knew very little about it. I will need to take a closer look the next time I need a blender. :)

The only mention I heard of this brand, was of a brand available in Australia. I have checked Amazon here, and they have a large line of blenders.

I’ve heard great things about Vitamix and have been wanting one for awhile. Is the canister dishwasher safe?…I like being healthy, but I hate washing the blender (so I just don’t use it).

I have heard of these blenders before. We use a blender so little that it will be a while until it wears out and we go looking for a replacement. When we do go looking this will be at the top of the list.

I have had a blender explode on me before, it was no fun!
I am now off to learn more about this Vitamix and this Green Smoothie of yours :)

That is good to hear, Rebecca. Vitamix blenders have been around for quite some time and are real work horses. I have contact with people who have used them quite heavily for years without a problem. Clicking on the link in the article will get you free shipping. I would also suggest that you get one of Valerie Boutenko’s books. Go to my website and click on the affiliate link for “Green Smoothie Revolution”. Those will get you on the right track. Send me a friend add on FB. I looked for you there but did not see your site. Thanks.

Hi Nicole…yes it is DW safe. Vitamix blender are built very durable…built to last. On a sidebar, since we use ours alot…maybe more than getting the DW full for a load, it is very easy to clean. Just put some dishwash liquid soap in the Vitamix, fill it with approx 1/4th full of water put the lid back on and run it on high for about 15 secs. It will clean the entire inside…rinse and let air dry. I agree…I do not like to was blenders:(. If you click on the link in the article you will get free shipping.

    Hey Martin,
I had some blenders go up in smoke, and others couldn’t hold their salt. Will keep this in mind when I need to purchase one. I’ve heard awesome things about it.

They are really awesome. A good comparison would be a Mercedes vs a Chevrolet.

I haven’t heard of this blender before Martin and must check it out to see if it is available in my country as my blender is not great.

Stan, if you go to my home page and click on the Vitamix image in the affiliate area, you can order…Vitamix is in Austrailia.

I’ve heard a lot of talk around Vitamix blenders and all of them say the same thing you’re saying here. I’ve never actually tried a green smoothie that incorporates veggies with the traditional fruit and juices, but they sound pretty good!

What you hear about Vitamix blenders is accurate…not hype. One example; my mother-in-law has had one for at least 7 years and never had a problem with frequent use. Go to my home page and click on the affiliate link that is “The Green Smoothie Revolution”. There are a number of books authored by Victoria Boutenko. I would suggest that you get “Green 4 Life”. I have that book. You will learn all about “Green Smoothies”.

Thanks Martin and might have to hint that it would make a good Christmas present.

I had not heard of that brand of blender before. I don’t own a blender (the horrible Magic Bullet doesn’t count), but when I do look for one I will keep Vitamix in mind since I can guarantee my husband would probably want to get a KitchenAid.

  • http://www.Empower2Go.com Martin Casper

Do that Jeri…there is no comparison, especially when you look at the specs…it is like comparing a Chevrolet to a Mercedes Benz
